What a fairytale evening at the Opera Garnier for the musicians of Ivana String Quartet! The theme of this very private event is the Ballet. The string quartet welcomes the guest with Ballet Pieces of the Russian Master, Piotr Ilitch Tchaikovsky, Nutcracker Suite, and Swan Lake. Dancers stand on each side of the stairs, making for a majestic and elegant impression.
The second act of this prestigious soirée takes place in the Grand Foyer.
A comedian dressed as The Phantom Of the Opera crosses the room mysteriously, along with a myriad of ballerinas. The musicians play La Gioconda, Dance of the Hours by Ponchielli, extracts from Sylvia and Coppelia by Leo Delibes, Waltz from Faust by Gounod, Waltz by Chopin.
For the last act, the dancers join the quartet and dance to the music of Prince Igor by Borodine, Ravel’s Boléro arranged for String Quartet.
The evening is a great success. Here are a few words from the director :
Thank you everyone for this wonderful evening, thank you so much.
It is a real treat to work with you and benefit from your efficiency, your smiles and competence. What more can one ask for?
Yours sincerely
Sylvie
